I found this and it made me happy...

This is updated code/instructions for fixing DW to have some colouring/tweaks to be more like LJ...well... ex-LJ. Just follow the instructions and you'll end up with a nice, wide, blue site again! :Db (Actually, I like the red... it's the grey background and odd lines around the comments that made me twitch. I was using a non-colour changing tweak, but it mysteriously stopped working today. :/a)
But how about that font? It's still a little small compared to old LJ, eh? Well, I found a comment from someone with some edits! They're instructions were for an older version of the code (Rainfall's is up-to-date... Emiri's is kinda broken) so here's what to do:
Click the Stylish icon in FireFox and right click on the code (In Chrome, click on the Stylish icon and the edit link is obvious)
Ctrl-f to find: body.tropo #canvas
Add this line:
font-size: .82em !important;
Then find: body.tropo #canvas #content
Add these lines:
line-height: 1.4em !important;
letter-spacing: -0.003em !important;
Then save!
Originally the edit had line-height at 1.3 but seemed a little tight to me. Obviously you could even tweak these more, if you wanted! Here is a screencap of an old comment thread I had that might be helpful!
Also there's a few other stylish tweaks! (I believe you need the same greasemonkey/tampermonkey script though that's mentioned in the above link.) Here's a brand new one: http://userstyles.org/styles/59108/dreamwidth-muted
Here's a simple widescreen tweak: http://userstyles.org/styles/30671/dreamwidth-for-widescreen
And this is the one I was using that seemed to die, uh? Unless it was Chrome just being dumb... ANYHOO, in case it was just something being dumb, here it is... white BG, widescreen and some font tweaks:
